For Carrie and Seth, planning a wedding meant designing an event that was beautiful, meaningful, and most importantly, unique to the couple. "I'm not a basic person in any way, so I wanted everything to be original and special to 'wow!' our guests," says Carrie. The wedding dress was her Amsale debutante dress redesigned for the wedding. The ivory and black striped train was added to reflect the classic ivory and black color scheme, Carrie's favorite color combination. A yellow accent color was added for a dramatic pop. Special touches were weaved in throughout the wedding. For example, Carrie wore her paternal grandmother's fox stole, and the cake was a tribute to Seth's late paternal grandmother who would have made the cake had she been still living.
