Julie and John might be considered the quintessential St. Louis couple. They met at Club Buca on The Landing. Their first date was on Main Street in St. Charles where they discovered that his dad and her mother had grown up down the street from each other in St. Ann. Their engagement took place in Frontier Park by the Lewis and Clark statues on a cold evening in December.
It seemed clear that their wedding venue should reflect their St. Louis roots. They found the perfect spot at the City Museum's Vault Room. The Vault Room is bedecked with historical St. Louis relics and a kaleidoscopic, awe-inspiring hallway of mirrors and a marble bar. Julie exclaims, "The place is absolutely stunning! We knew it was the perfect place for us, and it really matched our personalities."
The design elements revolved around a mid-century vintage look that included love birds. The invitations, Julie's jewelry, and the cake all reflected this special interest and added a touch of whimsy to this stylish wedding.
Julie and John will always remember their wedding with thankful hearts because Julie's dad suffered a major stroke just a month before the wedding. He recovered enough to walk her down the aisle and give her away, giving special meaning to Julie and John's own wedding vows.
